On 26 June 2009, Nichiyu Asia Pte Ltd (NAS) celebrated the delivery of its 10,000th unit with a grand ceremony to commemorate this historical and memorable moment. The recipient of the 10,000th unit, a FB-DC70 counterbalanced truck, was our esteemed Indonesian distributor PT Altrak 1978.
The event was graced by the presence of directors from our local partner, Hup Soon Global Corporation Limited, as well as many other important business partners and associates. Mr. Loeky Moniaga, Managing Director of PT Altrak 1978, also came personally to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and symbolic handover of the key for this special 10,000th unit.
Mr. Atsushi Tomita, Managing Director of NAS, presented a gift award of a pair of Lion Statues from Fukagawa Porcelain to Mr. Loeky, and expressed his sincere thanks to PT Altrak for their unrelenting support over the years. Mr. Loeky, in his award acceptance speech, also reiterated the close friendship between Nichiyu Asia and PT Altrak 1978, and believes that the partnership will continue to thrive and prosper in the future.
NAS was established in Singapore in 1992 as the regional distribution centre for Nichiyu trucks, and has since expanded its operation to serve the South Asian, South East Asian, and Oceania markets. Although it took 17 years of hard work to achieve the delivery of 10,000 units, 2,500 of the units were actually sold in the last two years, thanks to a growing market and the full support from dealers, shareholders, and customers. Despite recent setbacks in the world economy, NAS is fully prepared to move towards the next stage of its business growth to achieve the delivery of its 20,000th unit.
